Two years ago, I traveled to Sydney, Australia, and stumbled upon one of the most life-changing speakeasies. Hidden behind two cold metal doors was a hidden bunker straight out of the 1920s. The walls were covered in nostalgic images of prohibition and unfamiliar faces.
The DJ was a roughly 70 year old man playing Little Richard and James Brown. They didn’t have bartenders… they had MIXOLOGISTS! What even is that?!
My friends can confirm that I still talk about that night. I felt like I had uncovered a secret world. Since that moment, and many other speakeasy visits, I’ve had a dream of opening my own one day.
This blog isn’t that physical speakeasy (just yet), but, in a way, it’s the next best thing. Speakeasy is the figurative version—a hidden door into the part of my brain constantly buzzing with business questions and ideas. It’s a space where strategy meets storytelling. Where branding, innovation, and identity come together in ways that often go unspoken.

So, in typical speakeasy fashion—grab a drink and take a seat!
